SPRING-AUTUMN EQUINOX 2012

The September Equinox 2012:
September 22,

14:49 (or 2.49pm) UTC (Greenwich time)  12.49AM Sept 23rd Melbourne Australia

There are two equinoxes every year – in September and March – when the sun shines directly on the equator and the length of day and night is nearly equal. Seasons are opposite on either side of the equator, so the equinox in September is also known as the "autumnal (fall) equinox" in the northern hemisphere. However, in the southern hemisphere, it's known as the "spring (vernal) equinox".
*******************
Why is it called equinox?

On the equinox, night and day are nearly exactly the same length – 12 hours – all over the world. This is the reason it's called an "equinox", derived from Latin, meaning "equal night".

However, even if this is widely accepted, it isn't entirely true. In reality equinoxes don't have exactly 12 hours of daylight

The September equinox occurs the moment the sun crosses the celestial equator – the imaginary line in the sky above the Earth’s equator – from north to south.

This happens either on September 22, 23, or 24 every year. On any other day of the year, the Earth's axis tilts a little away from or towards the Sun. But on the two equinoxes, the Earth's axis tilts neither away from nor towards the Sun.

Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival- Mooncake Festival

The Moon Festival
The Chinese Moon Festival is on the 15th of the 8th lunar month. It's also known as the Mid-autumn Festival. Chinese culture is deeply imbedded in traditional festivals. The Moon Festival is one of the most important traditional events for the Chinese.
The Moon Festival is full of legendary stories. Legend says that Chang Er flew to the moon, where she has lived ever since. You might see her dancing on the moon during the Moon Festival. The Moon Festival is also an occasion for family reunions. When the full moon rises, families get together to watch the full moon, eat moon cakes, and sing moon poems.
The moon cake is the food for the Moon Festival. The Chinese eat the moon cake at night with the full moon in the sky.
Hope the Moon Festival brings you happiness.

Autumn-Spring Equinox

Today is a special time of the year when the daylight and night time hours are of equal length.
Enjoy this special time and give thanks for all Blessings.

******************************
The Equinox is a time when the darkness and cool grip of Winter give way to warmth and the birth of new light. The Spring Equinox represents the re-emergence of our souls after the descent of Winter, and enables us to set new visions, to feel the spark of new life, and develop new enthusiasms.

On the Equinox, the Earth and Sun are in perfect balance and harmony. So, it is a time of great harmony between the elements of light and dark - and a time when we can create some harmony in our lives. So, get some friends together, join hands, sing and dance together, and welcome the power of this celestial event. Send love to all beings, and the planet, so a new healing energy can come into play in the world.

09.09.09 09:09:09:09 - An abundance of Nines

There is a unique alignment of the number 9 about to happen - on the ninth day of the ninth month of the year 2009 AD at the ninth one hundredth past the ninth second past the ninth minute of the ninth hour. The sum of these numbers consistently stays 11 – at whatever resolution of unit of time one may decide to stop.

Year = 2009 = 2 + 9 = 11
Year & Month = 2009 + 09 = 2018 = 2+1+8 = 11
Year & Month & Day = 2009 + 09 +09 = 2027 = 2 + 2 + 7 = 11
Year & Month & Day & Hours = 2009 + 09 + 09 + 09 = 2036 = 2 + 3 + 6 = 11
Year & Month & Day & Hours & Minutes = 2009 + 09 + 09 + 09 + 09 = 2045 = 2 + 4 + 5 = 11
Year & Month & Day & Hours & Minutes & Seconds = 2009 + 09 + 09 + 09 + 09 + 09 = 2054 = 2 + 5 + 4 = 11
Year & Month & Day & Hours & Minutes & Seconds & Hundredth of Second = 2009 + 09 + 09 + 09 + 09 + 09 + 09 = 2063 = 2 + 6 + 3 = 11

The number 11 is a Master number. Master numbers are the only exception to rule of reducing to the single digit. The master numbers 11 and 22 are intensified versions of the single digit number they replace (2 and 4). These numbers suggest a potential for a high degree of learning and/or achievement very often in a more stressful environment. In many individuals, the master numbers operate at a much more tangible or practical level, becoming essentially the same as the single digit parallel.

While some may dismiss this occurrence as a mere coincidence of a man made calendar, this unique alignment of number 9 holds deep meaning for others. For occult calculations, the numbers 7 and 9 are considered the most important of all.

All those who predicted doomsday scenarios on 06 June 2006 still insist that they will be proven right sooner than later. They just had the numbers upside down - the alignment of nines in 999, they say, is a lot more potent than 666!
